There are many factors to consider, unfortunately, which means it won't be an easy choice to make.

On a promising note, one of my friends up there said she's vacating her duplex soon, and asked if I wanted to take over the lease. So if that worked out, at least I wouldn't have to worry about apartment-hunting! It's a nice little 2br place, dog/pet friendly, with both a yard and garage, for like $950/mo. In Springfield, but right near the border of Eugene.
Congratulations!! Job offers are good news. That duplex sounds sweet.

Thanks, but sadly I had to decline... it simply wasn't enough money/hours to justify moving, even with the difference in COL. I still have another application pending in Springfield, though, along with an opportunity in Reno. So I'm not giving up on the idea (of relocating in general) yet!

Yeah, I did that... lol. Problem was that my only results were assisted living, and I wasn't finding any (maybe one or two?) complexes for ACTIVE seniors who don't need assistance yet. Anyway, I got some good info from this thread in case I end up needing it later.
