If Turkey can actually meet the social and economic standards required by the EU, then sure.

Yes Turkey's contribution is worth and should be ready to join EU, much more than some eastern countries.

Yes, many eastern countries are a problem because criminality. Turkey is not possible right now due to Islamism..and the inhabitants of Capadocia could pose a problem. If all Turks were like the ones in Istambul, they could join today....

Plus, a very large country in a bad neighbourhood..but eventually they will enter,..along some American/Asian countries.

No. No. No.
Russia is a multi-cultural country. And lots of people isn't happy with it. From both sides.

If Turkey will become a member of EU, there will be more immigrants. And the current immigrants sometimes are not very tolerant to other people.

This year a guy was killed in Germany. He invited 5 Turks to join him in a bus. They were drunk. They kicked him to death.

Yes, one might say that it is just an accident. But I am afraid that non-Europeans have more macho culture. When a European man would not use a fist to solve the problem, the non-European would do.

American/Asian countries aren't eligible to join the EU. You have to have actual European territory. That's why it's called the European Union.

Turkey is denying Armenian Genocide, Christmas Day is not a national holiday; therefore is NOT EU.

Yes, an indispensable condition to join the EU.

I'm kinda asking myself what's more heretic:

1) Celebrating the day where some fat dude is bringing presents to children.

or

2) Not celebrating at all

I am afraid that if Turkey join the EU, some low-class people form Turkish or Kurdish villages will go directly to Berlin or Bruxelles.

In Moscow we have lots of people, who went from their Central Asian villages directly to Moscow. They don't go to THEIR capitals, they go directly to our capital.

So, these low-class Turks won't go to Istanbul. They go directly to Europe.

And middle-class Turks, who already have a good job will stay at home.

Middle-class people can feel themselves comfortable without immigration.

In Germany there is a problem of "Russians". The majority of those "Russians" are Germans from Kazakhstan. They are not middle-class Russians from Moscow.

So, it will be low-class people, who will go to European socialistic paradise.
