Whatever Walesa says, I don't think this union it's something that Germans and Polish wish. But if the population of both countries want to be the same nation, why not?

Even if both Poles and Germans want it, which nobody does, this would not be accepted by countries like the UK, France, Russia or America. It would eventually be considered an even bigger Germany.
I am sure that most Poles are happy to have their own country, and are not prepared to share it with others, oder Elnina?
This is like uniting Mexico & the US. You will end up with a lot of poverty since the Polish are poorer than the Germans plus the Germans are taller. This might be beneficial for Poland but why would Germany sink so low? Whats in it for them?
Interesting thought. However, I doubt that both countries want to be merged into one state. They share plenty of common cultural aspects such as history, food (!!), some character traits, architecture etc. but as a whole both are just too different from one another. At first, Germany "should" unite with Austria, Switzerland and Benelux, that would be easier culturally and linguistically speaking.
