Come on DKM...even you should be able to understand the "Brazilian affair" and the Bolsonaro Clown...however, give it time, I'm not so sure Brazil will not get Sputnik V eventually.....

The USA, Israel and the UK are the western countries that got in much sooner and are past the pandemic now. This is not the results of Russian claims of "western vaccine" failure that I was responding to.

Brazil decided Sputnik's current data wasn't good enough for them. Why Russia must be hysterical about it? They can't make enough to help anyway, even if it is good. I actually think it probably is the same as AZ which isn't that bad, just not to American standards.
Brazil did not base its current decision on data that was not good enough, but data that was missing, which is why that decisions might be reversed any time.

Sputnik V is at about the same level as Biontech(Pfizer)/Moderna, way better than AZ.

The "American" standard is to a large part a German standard as the Pfizer vaccine is built on Biontech technology.

Also, Argentina is a silly example because the country has only vaccinated about 15% of its population so far, which is far from herd immunity. And Sputnik V is only one of three vaccines used. So, major outbreaks and waves can still occur any time.

There has been a smear campaign against non-Western vaccines from the very start. The US health department document linked earlier only confirms that. And no, it did not say "advise", but "persuade", which is not seldom a synonym for threatening and blackmailing with Americans. Those value their ideological zeal more than human lives. It has always been like that, I remember the "help" American Christian organizations provided when the tsunami hit Asia. Some helped under the condition that the recipients convert from Buddhism to Christianity. And when they later found out that the recipients had not converted but only said so in order to be helped, they wanted their help back.

Nor does it matter that Russia's vaccine production capacity could not provide the world, because they don't have to. They can simply sell a license to pharma companies in other countries so they can make Sputnik V themselves. That is how much of vaccines are made. Pfizer is not shipped from the US to Europe, either, it is made in European factories. The same goes for the production of AZ, which is made in Europe, India and other places.

Funny how the US pretends to be generous by shipping millions of AZ doses to India. What they don't mention is that AZ is not even permitted in the US, yet, nor needed, so they are basically getting rid of stuff that is only occupying their fridges.

Seems that there are more and more cases of people developing serious heart problems after receiving the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine, specifically myocarditis in younger men. There are more than 60 cases in Israel and now also in Germany, and probably in the US and other countries as well. But it seems that in many cases the problem has gone unnoticed so far.

How many countries can do something like this ?
Answer this question yourself and take another look at the ratings.
I believe the answer to your question is 7, out of 10.

Ignorance is a blessing.

Same way the USSR went bust. Too much spending on status things it can't afford. The Russian economy is now smaller than South Korea, population 52M. It's called living beyond your means.........
When western automakers go to 100% electric vehicles 2035 ish, demand for oil drops, and electricity is increasingly made from renewable sources, Russia will feel the pain in the pocket

Since 1998 the value of the Ruble in foreign exchange has fallen by about 700% from 10 Rubles to the Dollar, to 74 : 1, today.

Mr Gebrev should be hung. He is an arms trafficker and responsible for a lot of death and destruction. If there's anyone needs a dose of polonium it's him.

As eastern europe has transitioned away from soviet arms to nato arms, they don't need the old ammo anymore. It goes to the friendly nations that can use it. Looks like Bulgaria already booted a bunch of spies. Perhaps more are coming... but who cares. It makes no difference.
