I hope that in Finland we dont follow those countries who will send stupid "wanna be disco queen (or king) songs to the contest.
Finland has rock and will be rock, like to see it that way in future too.
I like it because a raspy voice will have me drooling, plus I love the piano. I also think it was the best alternative we had. Xuso's song is very catchy, but it's so usual. Also composed by Swedes... to represent Spain? Wtf. I'm really really glad he didn't win.
This was the 3d one I liked best, but its not Eurovision material, I don't think.
I didn't know a Swede song was going to be candidate for Spain performance :O
About the third one I like it but as victus say it's perfect for Spanish music market, not really eurovisive.
My favourite one of the last years was Dancing in the rain by Ruth Lorenzo in 2014, I loved it.
The sanremo festival started yesterday, so we have heard the first 10 songs, tonight we will listen to the other 10 and we will have soon the name of the winner (on Saturday evening).
Anyway, the first songs are really disappointing for me, the most of them are really boring. I'm seriously starting to think that Sanremo is not a good way for choosing our singer for Eurovision. Sanremo is an old-fashioned festival, the songs are usually very slow and "old" (to give and idea, during the festival the music is still played live by an orchestra). Instead Eurovision tries to be more modern, and gives much more importance to the exhibition itself and to "special effects". I think that to use Sanremo for choosing the Eurovision entry is a very lazy decision. It sounds like the organizers were wondering: "hey, we have to find a singer for Eurovision, what can we do?" "Well, a couple of months earlier there is Sanremo, why don't we recycle the winner song of that festival?"
If it will go on like this, I really hope that the winner will forfeit and that the organizers will chose someone else (anyone else), because otherwise we have good chances of finish at the last place this year.
To give and idea, these are some songs we heard yesterday (I put the younger ones, that are the ones who are more likely to accept a participation to Eurovision).
Now I can't find other official video on youtube, I don't post the live performances from yesterday evening because they will probably be removed in a few days. Anyway these are quite representative.

If i had to choose it would be Rocco Hunt hands down (Ruggeri's and Morgan's were the only other songs i enjoyed). Really disappointed by Noemi, i expected she would come with something more upbeat.
In the meanwhile another video has just been published
From the first night I agree, the most interesting was Rocco Hunt.
About the second night, maybe it was a little better than the first one (at least Eurovision-wise). Here some of the songs we heard yesterday that are already on youtube. Again I avoid the older singers, because it is really unlikely that they will accept to sing at Eurovision.

^ To me this song sounds a really strange song for that singer, the orchestra doesn't suit him (it is even more evident with the live performance)

^I've just checked who he is, because I have never heard of him before. He began his carrer as the singer of a band, that is participating to Sanremo too (with a new singer). Here they are:
There are still a couple of singers missing, but me and improb should have already named the ones who are most likely to accept a participation to Eurovision.
Finally, she is from the "Sanremo giovani" (= young's Sanremo, it is the section for singers that are not famous yet. Sometimes they have been sent to Eurovision too). My sister likes her a lot, so if I didn't post her she would get mad with me
my country is going to humiliate herself, again, no matter the song, even if sung in english. hope someone forgot to call France the day of the finale :x
When I was a kid I remember that Holand won..I think it was Holland.
I still have bad allucinations with that song, the singer was a repellent boy that sang...momma..moma.
Enough reason to declare a war to Holland, in case that the hellish boy was from there.
Cristal Snow
- Cristal loves the Eurovision and you notice it in this snow. But please Cristal, dress up as a man if you get elected. I can endorse this. Like it. But is it too generic? It might.
Annica Milán & Kimmo Blom
- This is Freddy Adu. There's potential, but doesn't really break through. Quite messy, and is created by a big multinational group of composers. I don't see any chance with this.
Mikael Saari
- Zzzzzzzzzzzz. Second time around. This is something that middle-aged Italian women like, but everyone else will forget the song as quick as they have listened to it. No way Mikael, not this time either. Go home.
These are tonight's finalists. Milán and Blom were a lot better live, so was Saari.
We just had the first semi-final of that freakshow and the picture doesn't look too good, a massive devolution compared to last year has taken place, only 1 or maybe 2 "ok" performances from the first semis. It's a shame.
