Gassing children is not something we are just going to sit back and watch.

To pretend NATO is supporting ISIS is ridiculous, then again having heard a lot of the nonsense coming out of Russia in recent years nothing surprises me anymore.
ISIS was originally part of the Chechens that were fighting in Syria to overthrow the government. They had previously fought under the CIA in the Georgian wars in the 2000s. The Chechens splintered with one group forming ISIS and requiring allegiance by the others. The other group of Chechens from Dagestan are called the Caucasus Emirates. They joined Jabhat al-Nusra or Nusra Front for short. Nusra is Al Qaeda in Syria.

Other fighting groups trained by the US and NATO have allied with ISIS, while others have linked up with Nusra Front or stayed independent. There is fighting between rebels as well as coordinated actions against the Syrian government forces. As in Libya, the US coalition has a large number of sponsor countries supporting and training the terrorists with an eye to gaining an edge in the post-Assad situation.

The French historically view Syria and Lebanon as the French mandate.

Chemical weapons from Libya were transferred to Syria by the US as part of the transfer of revolutionary assets before and during the war. There is also evidence of nerve gas cylinders provided by the British, Turks, and Saudis to their terrorist agents in Syria.

Facts are a stubborn thing.

Yes, he tripped over his shoe laces and accidently fell out the window. It was an terrible accident that has zero correlation with Russia's old and proud tradition to kill journalists.

You forgot to answer me Winterfall. Seeing as you are so disgusted with France and Macron, I suspect that you must really f*cking hate Trump and the US now? Or? Most of those "nice, new and smart missiles" (quote, Trump) came from the US, you know.

Very few of the missiles were launched by the US. Only 14 were the US Tomahawk cruise missiles. If you're going to contribute to a forum, you should at least be informed. Missile counts are not a very demanding fact to research.

Not according to James Mattis (or any realiable sources).

You don't know the number then. He said there was twice as many missiles fired as last years' strike. The difference is that there were three nations participating in the action this year, not just the US. The UK-funded Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirms the total number but the breakdown for US missiles is less than 20 percent of the total. Since the US fleet generally sat idle rather than challenge air defenses, it is also common sense that most of the strikes would have to come from other participants.

Not that facts are accepted by Russia, but the total missiles launched per country were:

USA: 85 (19 from B-1b bombers from the SE, 37 from 2 ships in the Red Sea, 23 from a cruiser in the Persian Gulf and 6 from a sub from the Med)
UK: 8 (2 each from Tornados)
France: 12 (9 from jets, 1 from 3 different ships)

The strike did not involve our ships in the Med (sat idle), they were there to keep the attention of the Russians. Strikes all came at once from 3 different directions. Syrian air defenses fired at nothing because it was after the missiles hit. 3 targets were completely destroyed. At least one JASSM from the B1-b's also hit an air defense site.

To save face, Russia invented 9 more targets which miraculously were not hit at all thanks to Soviet era missile defenses (LOL)
