I merely pointed South African Elon Musk has visited England with a view to opening a vast factory,.
I think EV work more on charging points, and the UK has some leading battery technology and charging technology companies, with some excellent research carried out at places such as thr Faraday Institution and the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC).
This is interesting, but perhaps you want to start a separate all EV-related news in the UK forum since these don’t quite address what’s being asked in this topic as I was trying to avoid that deter.
Add another one to the list with something from Switzerland. Micro Mobility Systems has a tiny front-opening (like, the front face is where the car opens) two-seater called Microlino: https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/4/21...ke-price-specs
^ well I wish them luck, looks like they're trying really hard and the design is interesting but personally I loathe ultra small cars (not that i'm claustrophobic....just like alcoholics don't admit they drink too much lol).
MW Motors supposedly has three vehicles it's working on with the emphasis given to making the vehicles as light as possible and therefore as efficient with its battery pack as possible.

This is a blast from the past. Anyone remember the Isetta from the 1950s & early 60s? Similar idea with front opening door, but it was a tricycle with one rear drive wheel and two wheels up front. The new Microlino has 4 wheels for better stability.
Russia just produced the cheapest EV in the world with a retail price of $7,000. It’s called the Zetta (Zero Emission Terra Transport Asset) produced by the start up company REMC (Russian Engineering and Manufacturing Сompany)

"...batteries imported from China". OK. Well, I'm happy to let the Russian consumers try that out for a few years, and see how reliable and durable those batteries are...
This kind of reminds me of the old days, back when Russia was exporting the Lada to Canada. Except it's not planning on exporting the Zetta. We'll see.

If you read a little closer you will see that 2/3rds of their production is aimed for export, EV’s are still not very popular with the general public in Russia from what I can tell.

I thought it said it's mainly for domestic sales. Guess I missed something. I think it's kinda cool-looking.
The Lada was priced $7000 when it was available in Canada.
