Yep the last paragraph

“ Production of Zetta will be 99% localized, its CEO said, with the only foreign component being the batteries imported from China. About two-thirds of cars produced in 2020 and 2021 are planned for export.”

Interesting trivia, that the Zetta will be built in the same city where the Lada factory is located, Tolyatti (on the Volga river south of Kazan). It makes sense, as many of the biggest suppliers to Lada are nearby. Zetta can buy some components locally to keep costs down, instead of having to transport from distant places.

BTW, China manufacturers a big percentage of batteries for electric powered vehicles (from bicycles to busses) so not surprising Zetta would buy from them. The main rail line from China to central Europe passes through Kazakhstan and enters Russia on a route that passes close to Tolyatti, so there is a good way to ship the batteries.

Yes, I came across that online, but never in person. Have you been in one before?

So here's a video of the Microlino prototype: https://www.facebook.com/microlino.c...5352923695986/

It appears it's still on the path to production and not cancelled despite how odd it is.

The Sono Motors Sion also had a new version of its vehicle virtually debut at CES: https://sonomotors.com/

It is interesting that the European EV startups seem to be targeting interesting niches that generally haven't seen too much interest.
