Why is that only the uk left the EU is because of our superiority complex it because we think where better than the rest of Europe we did have a huge empire that stretched for miles and miles from the southernmost tip of the earth to the northernmost point to the far east and far west yes we english is most powerful language in the world due to our overtaking of the world no language even comes close come on if adk about avfrech Italian singer or film star or movie they would heard of but british everyone ha heard adele ed sheeran the bettles keep blaming us they saying we think we are better than rest of Europe and we our anti immigration they is more anti immigration sentiment in Eastern Europe than in the UK but no one ever talks about everyone keeps blaming Britain for everything so why don't other countries want the French kept going on brexit Poland is not to keen on the EU and think Germany is too much of a dominating force so what can we do about it. What if their is a frexit or gexit or itexit go on their what if say France, Germany Italy, Poland, Netherlands leave the EU.

Troll perhaps? In answer to the question leaving the EU isn't easy, they will do EVERYTHING in their power to prevent it, it may well be too late for many sovereign states already. Any sovereign state that doesn't do exactly as its told is threatened (look at what's happening in Poland), with the exception of the British the European population has walked its way into EU dictatorship with its eyes half closed and even in the UK nearly half the population didn't even see the writing on the wall:-

Short answer, the alternatives are worse.

In general, relatively small countries, in a global economy, need economies of scale to remain competitive, also in terms of political economy.

A few details, very crudely.

While France was very competitive with UK during the European hegemony phase of history, it did not maintain independently a global reach as much as the UK.

People in countries like Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece - countries in which I personally lived in for many years - do not have enough self confidence to manage their own currencies; put another way, while relying on policymakers from France, Germany and a few other northern European countries is no day at the beach, they could do worse by themselves, and they know it.

My impression is that people in countries like Poland and Hungary do have enough self confidence, but in terms of military security and economic opportunity, they distrust the Europeans less than they distrust the Russians.

European Union countries are mostly stagnant economically, so the bulk of growth depends on territorial expansion, hence Balkans, Ukraine, countries like Georgia and Moldova to the extent they can, and of course they would love to swallow up Turkey, Belarus and Russia, but they begin choking on that, too big and poisonous.

Meanwhile, UK has, potentially at least, other fish to fry around the world and they don't have to tolerate the continental countries' toxic wastes like the continental countries do because, for the latter

... the alternatives are worse ...

Hope this helps, a little

Good Luck.

Ireland wont leave as we are too small a country to thrive outside the EU , the UK is large enough to do well on its own

as for Germany , France etc , Those countries neighbour each other and it makes sense in many strategic ways to have an official union , again the UK was in a different situation to those large mainland countries

Don’t expect Italy, Spain, Portugal, and maybe Ireland to leave the EU while it still has Germany and to some extent France. In fact, I say if the only other country to leave the EU would be Germany, the EU as a whole will crumble after that.

Why don't they? Because they don't want to.

Countries don't leave the EU because they can't. It would be very hard for any given country to part ways with the EU without facing severe political and economic sanctions. Core countries such as Germany claim to be doing peripheral countries a favor by having them in the EU, but in reality Germany doesn't want to see anyone leaving its turf. Germany has never been as prosperous as under the EU. That's because EU cohesion funds obliterated any continental competition, and left the markets wide open to its exports.

That sums it up nicely
