I'm 28 and I think I have an eating disorder. I eat a lot, chips, all of the junk foods but I don't eat meats, I don't drink soda, I don't eat candy, most of it is chips or honey buns and the like. I weighted 140lbs and my stomach looked a little big to me when lifting up my shirt. I'm 5'7 so it's been 5 weeks and now I weight 125lbs, but it's like I'm not satisfied. My ultimate goal would be to reach 117lbs but no less than 115lbs which is weird when you think about it. I weighted 145lbs in high school. I don't know how I am doing this, being able to eat only healthy foods, it's like I'm trying to prove myself that I can do it. In only 3 weeks it will be 2 months of exercising and eating healthy. And then for a month I will continue doing the same thing so it will be a total of 12 weeks of this and then I make an appointment for a physical check up. I will probably go there weighting 116 or 117 but no more than 118lbs, but when I think about these numbers it hasn't been that low since junior high. 5 weeks ago I would spend my time eating an entire bag of chips, cup cakes, plus the meal I ate at home but I didn't eat anything for breakfast or lunch during working days, just water. I believe I can last 12 weeks I am sure but I'm afraid that after I lose all of the weight I will go back to my unhealthy eating habits. I will probably wait until I gain up to 140 again to exercise until I weight 125 so I can eat all of the unhealthy snacks but I don't think it's right. When I do it it's like I can't control it. 140 is average still but it's a little fat on the stomach but it's not even noticeable only when I lift up the shirt. My stomach is lean now. If you look at me you might say I look good and would never guess about my unhealthy eating habits. It's crazy how much I was eating, sometimes a whole pack of snacks and a whole bag of chips, plus anything else I can find in the house. Like I said before I look good now.
I am very confused by your post. Can you clearly itemize what your goals in all this are? There is no reason at all to have your body solely run on junk food. Weight is the least negative implication of such behavior. Being skinny does not at all mean you are healthy.

I think it has to do with a combination of depression, no social life, lack of goals, a meaningless life. The only real reason why I'm exercising and losing weight is that I will go on vacation to another state to visit family and I want to look the same as I did. It just surprising to me that I don't weight 180 or 200 because I should by the way I eat. I guess it also has to do with me not eating meat or soda or candy and not eating breakfast and lunch while working. This will be week 6. By the end of the month I will be at 120lbs. Then 1 month after that 117lbs.
James, this is coming from someone who is slim. (I'm 5'10" and about 150 lbs at the moment.) You probably do have an eating disorder. You should see a doctor. Some people accuse me of having one -- I don't. I eat three healthy meals a day (large portions... just healthy food ... lean protein, vegatables, good carbs). What you're doing is different. You seem to have an unhealthy relationship to food, and this can have serious implications for your health. Please go see a doctor.
5'7 and 125 pounds is thin. You should focus on eating a healthier, more balanced meal. You should also see a physician and go for a check-up and then after everything checks-out ok, perhaps start going to a dietician just to learn how to eat, and incorporate foods you like.
Join a gym - start working out, lifting weights 2-3x a week, and keeping yourself busy.
Okay that's great, but how does this apply to his situation?
