I normally trail run 2 hours every day but I am not losing any weight. I'm actually gaining weight which is discouraging.

The only thing I seem to be getting from running lately are sore knees and sprained ankles/foot.

So should I just go on Nutrisystem and forget the time consuming/exhausting exercise?

What you eat and how much you eat has far more to do with weight loss than exercising.

I tried Nutrisystem and ended up cancelling. It's not that it doesn't work, but I wasn't crazy about the program.

Try Weight Watchers or else just count calories on your own. I do 1200 calories per day for weight loss, but it depends on how much you want to lose and your sex. A man would do more calories usually.

Popular diet plans are IMO a borderline scam, and usually end in re-gain. Look at nutrition info, tweak your diet, and throw in some strength training.

No need to drink that garbage. Keep running and start a food journal. You are consuming too many calories. You cannot outrun a bad diet.

I only eat once a day in the evening and yeah it's a large meal. Maybe 2000-3000 calories.

I have no structure when eating which is why I am thinking of joining Nutrisystem.

Maybe, nutrisystem will help you structure a decent diet, because running/exercising isn't the problem you're not losing weight.

... Or instead of paying them, apply common sense to eating and eat a few nutritionally sound meals throughout the day.

What entails a common sense diet?

If I were you I'd try to find a local delivery service for healthy meals based on the calories that you should be consuming each day. Develop good eating habits eating real food. Or go talk with a nutritionist to get you on the right track.

I can't see anyone running 2hrs a day and gaining wait without some glutony involved. Just sayin. Why do you only eat one meal a day? Do you punish yourself by running that much? How overweight are you? Sore joints means your'e not doing something right or maybe you need to run every other day. There are things that just don't belong in your house. Do not buy them and bring them home. Make yourself believe you enjoy healthy eating and one day a week go buy 2 scoops at Baskin Robins if you've been good. Anyway, I think you know what you're doing wrong. You'll fix it when you decide to make the change.
