I've started that, I've lost 5 lbs in 5 weeks. But surely there has to be a particular exercise that targets the upper abs instead of the lower ones?
There is no such thing as spot reducing. Your body chooses where it will lose weight first. You can tighten up your abdominal area by ab and core exercises, but if you have a layer of fat over that area you will not be able to tell.
Just keep up with your diet and exercise all parts of your body.
Probably. Why would you want to though. A decent ab exercise will hit both. No ab exercise in the world will get rid of abdominal fat. If you want to spot reduce, just get liposuction.
I have this weird stomach. I have a fat roll at the top, whereas most people gain weight with a roll around the bottom. I'm 5'8 and 150 lbs.
I'm just starting on a workout journey for the first time in my life at age 36 (female).
What do you suggest to get rid of this weird upper roll?
You've had children??? This can happen when the muscle above navel get stretched or as the doctor will tell you, it tears from childbirth as your belly ex-spans .. I call it a sad belly button, I didn't get any stretch marks but no matter what , I can't tighten it up after four births and was told a tummy tuck would need be done..Well I'm 50 and happily married of 32 years to a man who doesn't mind. Plus I'm to chicken~ ...
No, I've never had children. And your stomach looks better than mine!
Well in your case this should be able to change, so that's the good news.. All I know is I try everything, this is as good as it gets for me...
