It's not where you shop...it's how you shop.

Yup! Places like TJ Maxx and Marshall's can also be good places to find deals on high end stuff.

On an autocorrecting iDevice.

I shop at all of these stores depending on what I'm purchasing. High end and middle end for clothing. Been to Walmart twice in my life. Once to shop, the next time to return the junk (3 out of 5 items broke within a week).

It didn't take long for someone to take the bait.

Strange how Walmart carries the same merchandise and national brands that other stores do--let's see....shampoo, soap, toiletries, household cleaners, stationery, paper and picnic goods, coffeepots, toaster ovens, automotive supplies... DH and I have purchased them, and nothing broke.

And BTW...I'll ask the OP what you should have asked: What's your opinion, OP. Or are you just sitting back eating popcorn while you watch the show?

Give me a break.

Macy's at regular price would be deemed higher end, but they do offer some middle range stuff, it's their constant sales that would bring them into middle range. Nord. Saks, Lord are for people that have deeper pockets than most (average price of a pair of jeans is around 150 bucks). The thing people with little money think of first is price, not quality. The quality is drastically different from those other companies to the high end. The high end materials are just much better. The only thing that separates these high end stores is custom tailored (but of course not all clothes will need to be). Companies that offer custom tailored clothes are highest of the high, top shelf materials and top shelf tailoring, puts these off the rack stores to shame.

It depends on where you live. I once saw Kohl's listed as low end on this forum. Where I live, it's probably the best place we have so people love it.

Mr.Roebuck & Mr.Sears would both be turning in their graves if they saw what has become of Sears at this date!
