For the life of me, I can't imagine where the gold will be.
You telling me you have a necklace hanging right on top of the tie? Come on, man, say no. Save the world.
Yes I have my gold chain necklace hanging over my tie and my bracelet on my right wrist. It may not be for everyone but I like it and that's what matters.
However, 1) white does not suit everyone and can look very unflattering, and 2) that suit would get dirty if you looked at it cross-eyed. I think if you wore the white suit in the picture, you'd have to hire a couple spotters with those flashing wands to walk in front of you and guide people out of the way, like at Home Depot. I'd be too scared to sit in it.
That's pretty much what I was thinking. Any foreign particle that gets on it will be noticed.
JustJulia, do you see men in white suits in Home Depot??
Much of it depends upon the material of the suit, and color of the shirt as to the look you want to project. White linen to a casual summer affair is not a bad look, but must have the right shirt, shoes, and tie. If one goes too far one way, he can look like a waiter or an ice cream salesman; and, too far the other direction, one can look like he is a refugee from a summer wedding party. The key with white, IMO, is that everything else is elevated to a higher position in the ensemble, the sunglasses must be the right period style and color, both for the wearer and the suit, and is best reserved for a more casual affair. Granted, this perspective is from that of a Northeastern native, where white has a very short season, especially for men, when it must not only be summer, but a hot summer day, for the white to be worn.

Unless you live in the tropics, a white suit looks kind of ridiculous. And 99% of the men who think they can pull off wearing one don't in reality.
