This is a question, specifically towards the guys. What kind of deoderant do you wear? It seems like the ones I pick always seem to discolor shirts that I wear. Its getting quite expensive as the shirts are useless afterwards. I was using a Gillette brand gel but stopped with that and switched to Degree solid (dry clear) stick, but found it was doing something similar. Any recommendations?
okay, i am not a guy, but do have a problem with wearing white and it staining under the arms...i have never been able to stop it so i just don't own any white shirts anymore.... i agree it is not the deodorant but the person... now artic kitten, you said salt can make it worse???
Honestly, I don't sweat much...even at the gym. I don't remember what I used to buy before, but I never had this problem as I had some shirts for a few years and they were fine until recently.
Aluminum is the ingredient that reacts with sweat and stains clothing. Unfortunately, most deodorants contain aluminum. The Adidas brand deodorant is amazing and is aluminum-free, but it's really hard to find in stores. Walgreens usually has it though.

And, the aluminum in antiperspirant has been associated with early onset Alzheimers disease and early dementia. I don't know if anything concrete came of the studies done years ago, but it was enough for me to stop using it. I use Old Spice stick, its about the only thing I've found that works, doesn't seem to stain my shirts, then again, I haven't been in a dress shirt in a decade.

Spray (aluminum carbohydrate) lightly at night and you'll have dead germs that won't make you stink later.
Quit using deodorant it is a useless product that does nothing but clog your pores and make things worse. If you shower as needed depending on what you have done that day there is no need for deodorant or anti persperant. I have never in my life used either but I shower daily and some days more than 2 or 3 times depending on the weather and if I have been doing work outside in the heat.
