Who the heck wears shorts outside of the gym, the beach, and cutting the grass anyway? If you are over 24...breakdown and buy yourself a pair of pants and a nice casual shoe. Geesh....

Obviously you're not familiar with the west coast, where men of all ages wear shorts and flip flops all year round

I like weird stuff. I wear relatively normal stuff and then like to throw something weird into the mix to keep it interesting.
Like yesterday I wore a nice pair of black work slacks, cardigan and red top with those shoes

I wear shorts w/pockets when it's over 90 degrees--I'm usually not a masochist...

Clearly, you've never spent any time in the American Southwest. Men of all ages wear shorts to church here. With all kinds of shoes. Personally, I prefer sandals or the loafers-and-no-socks look to what is most prevalent where I live — running shoes with socks. If it's hot enough for a person to wear shorts, then why socks? To me, white athletic socks with athletic shoes is for ... ATHLETICS. Not for a restaurant, or church, or shopping, or parties, or all the many places men in my city wear shorts. It's also my personal preference that if a man is wearing sandals, he properly groom his feet. Hairy toes, big ugly toenails, and dead scaly skin on heels is very unattractive. Worse than socks with sandals.
But none of these looks is any goofier than women who wear high-heeled, closed-toe pumps with shorts.
