Women are so much into acting and performance and the approval of other women, it's not your boss she has to impress it his wife she has to impress. If it's a company party.
You don't want to be thought a danger to others relationships so nothing sexy, Mostly conservative .
If you are happy with your relationship, than don't look/act like you are still fishing.
Not sloppy but content .
Pale colors or black ,nothing tight and no spaghetti.
When it's just you and your man out to diner , that's different ,there is no expectation of interacting with any one else, that's where the sexy stuff your showing off with him is appropriate.
But in the event some acquaintance does happen on your outing , have a wrap so that the mood is conversation and distractions are eliminated.

I certainly don't, but then again I'm not a dress person. They NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER fit right (I had to get my wedding dress in a size 12 to fit the bust, and have it taken down to a size 4 in the waist and hips). Bah, give me two pieces please; but NEVER a dress,lol.
I stand corrected; I have 1 dress and only one. It's a vintage 1950's tea length, and fits like a glove. My grandma had the same problem I do with dresses, lol. They just don't make em like they used to.
As for a work party; a nice skirt sexy, yet subtle (I love a pencil skirt), and nice blouse and heels; or depending on the party nice leather pants and a trendy style top.
Thats what I'm talkin about Give me that over a party every single time lol
