There's no right or wrong answer. This is your personal opinion.
Do you find having an attractive face or having an attractive physique is more common? I mean generally in the gender you are attracted to, but also your own gender. Like, are there more people with attractive to beautiful facial features but fewer with rockin' bods, or vice versa?
I would say for me a really beautiful face is a lot rarer than a great body (which is more controllable. You can beautify yourself with makeup, but there's less room to move than working out etc). However, there are quite a few women with fairly attractive faces. I don't really scrutinize people's bodies in detail, but I think it's true, porn stars and celebs do create unrealistic standards.
This is not a discussion about which you think is more important.
Never thought about it. There are a lot of people with striking faces, and they are more obvious. A lot of people wear ill-fitting clothing, so you have no idea what their shape is. So I am going for the face.
I think it's more common to come across a person with an attractive face. Then again, it's so subjective because what one person finds attractive, another one won't. In terms of my opinion of what an attractive body type is....I don't see much of that on a day to day basis.
Attractive bodies. You can't really do anything about your face, so their beauty runs the typical bell curve. The average person has an average face.
But you do have some control over your body. Almost anybody can have an attractive body (whether they're an attractive woman at size 2 or size 12, an attractive man at 6'3 or 5'5). The obesity epidemic aside, it seems those who take care of themselves take very good care of themselves.
I think the thing that's uncommon is the combination of an attractive face and an attractive body on the same person.
Apart from NYC and LA, where you have a glut of actors, models, and people who get cosmetic surgery as a hobby, in most places, you have the bell curve.
The majority of people will be average in looks or average in build. Fewer will be very attractive or very unattractive. Fewer still will be hideous or drop-dead beautiful
But to find someone with a 9-10 face AND a 9-10 body is the rarest thing (in the real world of course).
How often do we hear "It's a shame she's so heavy, because she has such a pretty face" or "she has a slammin' body but she's a butter face." How many times have we seen a very attractive guy, from behind, and then he turned around and we've gasped silently at his unfortunate face? Those almost extreme combinations seem to be very common, as common as the "average" on the bell curve.
I think it's about even between attractive faces and attractive bodies, and a good amount of people have both. The rare part these days is finding an attractive personality - regardless of what the face or body looks like. Most people suck.
I'd say it's about equal, really. It also depends on the age group and, in the US, what city/region you are contemplating. They do rankings of the fattest/fittest cities, but those need to be taken with a grain of salt. I don't know about Australia, but there are a LOT of overweight people in the States.
