At my daughter's HS the 40 something principal just moved on and is temporarily replaced by a retired principal. First thing the old guy did? Started enforcing the dress code. About time!

I was at a movie theater over the weekend and spotted a teenage girl wearing a pair of stretch pants on which was written in large white letters "F*K YOU." (Spelled exactly as you see it here, with the asterisk.)
What is this world coming to? I won't even talk about the kid, as many teenagers lack common sense anyhow. And I choose to believe that her parents don't know she dresses like this. (If they do, I hope I never meet them.) But how on Earth does a product like this even get on the market? I'm supposed to believe that there was a pitch meeting at the clothing company where everyone gave a thumbs up to this fantastic idea? That there wasn't a single person in management who objected?
I know, I'm beginning to think of myself as a premature "old man" (I'm 43), but sometimes I just have to wonder...
Sometimes its adults too. At my last job in a 5 star hotel, a former employee showed up to inquire about his old job, his shirt was yellow had an arrow pointing up that said "The Man" and one pointing down that said "The Legend ". I never forgot that one.
Teens wearing shirts like this are just being rebellious teens. Some express differently; Im close to your age and had a leather MJ with spikes on it. Personally I didn't want to offend others just stand out for Heavy Metal.
A few years ago, I was on a bus in LA and happened to glance at young man's tee-shirt which said "Reach Out And F*ck Someone" (I put the asterisk in - there wasn't one!). When he saw my expression, he smirked because he got the reaction he was hoping to get.
lol! Like women wearing tights as pants? I haven't seen that IRL, but it's a common complaint, and I've seen photos.
I don't understand this cluelessness about appropriate office wear. When I got my first job, everyone knew what office attire was, and most people wanted to look "adult" and wear nice office attire. Now, it seems like some young grads are still dressing themselves as if for kindergarten. It's hard to believe anyone could be THAT clueless. Sure, depending on the office, some might wear jeans in their early 20's, but tights or jammies should be obviously out of place.
I have seen the tights as pants IRL. It was very very weird.
The young people at my job think dressing up for work is horrid. They marvel that I do with any regularity. "It is so hard to dress up for work, I just want to wear my yoga pants/leggings/flannel shirt/boots." *rolls eyes.*
It is a good thing most of them don't have to meet with outside people very often.

Me too.
We also have people who wear workout clothing all day. And I mean legit I just came from a workout clothing. Sports bra peaking through a workout tank, workout tights, a hoodie and maybe even a towel on the shoulders. *SMH*

.
I like that . Much less offensive then just using F**k in someone's face.
Most schools would not allow the F U t-shirt - not where I live anyway. Its really hard to shock nowadays - and those kids probably have loser pot head parents that wear the same shirts or worse - low class gets passed down through the generations

Onesies? Like a baby would wear, without pants or sleeves? That is ridiculous. Incomprehensible, almost.
