I've read speculation from plastic surgeons that she has had too many fillers injected under her eyes (at the least), but I haven't any idea whether that it is true, and I don't care one way or the other.

I doubt that. I think she will do it "His Way," just as the first inaugural song played said.
Mrs. Trump is slavic in origin - and her face reflects that. To me, her eyes look somewhat asian, which only adds to her exotic look.

Agree
When I look at her, I see a Tartar. Those Huns left a strong genetic imprint through that part of Europe.

She is lovely. Expect with time she will grow in her role just as Michelle did.

She looked beautiful. The suit complemented her figure perfectly and was a gorgeous color.

I hope gloves don't come back, though.

Melania tried too hard to be Jackie Kennedy IMHO. It didn't work for me.

Barron Trump was so cute. 10 years old and he was so serious and appropriate for the occasion.
Did you see the clip of him playing peek a boo with his nephew, Ivanka's child? Adorable

The criss cross jacket had that dramatic touch that diagonals produce. The cropped jacket showed off her shape, that she has a waist instead of being dressed in some loose baggy thing. The neckline looked not only pretty but practical for whatever weather anyone could expect in DC in January. And those matching gloves were an added bonus. I think with her light complexion we will see more pastels. Most people with that coloring don't look too good in strong colors. So she's worn Ralph Lauren and her election night outfit was Oscar de la Renta.

Hillary wore a while Ralph Lauren pants suit--the white pantsuit was a nod to feminists as that seems to be their spoken or unspoken uniform. I just don't understand why Michelle wore that plain dress with exposed arms. She didn't look very good but I feel sorry for her because she is having a tough time emotionally and was crying sometimes.
My thoughts and they could be totally wrong, is she didn't want to upstage the new FLOTUS

For myself, nothing I posted was meant to be political as this was about fashion but to inform about the personalities and fashion sense of the people involved.

This. I think you have answered my question about her eye shape and the look. Thx.
