Melania's outfit was very classy, when she removed the jacket the dress was a little plain a brooch or a flag pin might have helped. I loved the gloves.
Ivanka as usual looked amazing, loved the emerald green outfit she wore the previous day too.
The evening dress Melania wore was stunning as were all the first and vice presidential families outfits.
Once again Michelle's dress just didn't seem to fit, those not quite elbow length not quite short sleeves and the fabric really did her no favours at all.
It's not necessarily "hate."
She is just too tall for this kind of mono-colored outfit - it would look better on someone with smaller frame - like Jackie Kennedy.
But that is not to say that Melania doesn't have style or she is not good looking.
She is, she has a lot going for her in that department.
Jackie had style but wasnt good looking at all, I always thought her eyes were far too much apart. Mrs Trump will do it her way and not follow some other first Lady.
Mrs. Obama is taller, leaner and more athletic than the previous First Ladies. She set a trend in sleeveless garments because her arms were so fit. It became quite the style for TV personalities to wear sleeveless, if they could pull it off - e.g., Mika Brzezinski, etc. She also wore J. Crew and other casual designs in addition to designer outfits. She also wore more dresses. I can't remember seeing her in a pantsuit, while Mrs. Clinton, who has thick ankles, wore pantsuits almost exclusively. Mrs Laura Bush dressed very modestly and conservatively, nothing trendsetting or controversial.
I also liked the way Michelle Obama dressed. I wear many sleeveless dresses myself because I work out and the look is good on me. I like that she wore "off the rack" clothes.
Nothing personal (or political - clothes should not be political) against Laura Bush or Hillary Clinton, but in terms of fashion, they were and are, dowdy dressers. Nothing in bad taste. But no flair for fashion.
Some people are not into clothes except to cover their bodies. And that's OK.
