Otherwise I'd second the suggestion to find small organic companies online or at farmer's markets.

It is literally impossible to avoid everything that has been deemed bad for us. So I pick my "poisons". My makeup is fine.

Bare Minerals is the only makeup I've found that my skin can handle.
They have an extensive line of products now.

Consider some of the mineral companies like Bare Minerals.

I have no adverse reactions to any of that stuff so I'm good.

edit: oops! Just saw the post before mine...

Yes, I recently bought some Almay and it was on sale and it had some anti-aging stuff in it. I got a buy one get one free too.

YUCK! They smell like chemicals not like the nice fresh usual stuff I use from Cover Girl.

I am going to have to give them away I hate the smell of such an artificial chemical coming off my face all day.

Many cosmetics are irritating to many people and after a time a product you had no problems with can suddenly give you problems. Best of luck finding some better alternatives. Good for you for doing such detailed research to keep yourself healthy.

As someone with super sensitive skin, I use Jane Iredale makeup, which I assume is similar to Bare Minerals, and Acure lotion for sensitive skin and I have no issue.

I'd like to use all cruelty-free cosmetics also, but it's been a challenge when it comes to some products. I'll keep trying to figure it out though.
can be quite difficult as some toxic ingredients sometime are given other names to baffle us..
