I bought my wife one similar to the pic. Except it’s a white face not blue. And of course she wears a cheap Timex 99.99% of the time
Timex has never been what I would call a "cheap" watch. Mainly they just refuse to charge the higher prices that other watchmakers charged, even brands that were using the same pin-lever movements they used to use in the early days. And today, the kind of quartz movements they use today are often found in higher priced watches. I would even say the kind of movements they use are BETTER than what are used in some higher priced watches.
Some fashion watches are much more expensive, but are purely junk inside.

I wore Timex in my teens. For a "cheap" watch, they seemed pretty high quality and reliable.
I don't buy by brands. I buy by whatever suits my taste, and that techno look of Rolex isn't my thing. I guess I like more feminine-looking watches.
With the advent of Apple Watch and similar, it seems like the watch industry would be worried. I seem to see more people on TV with them than the traditional watches.
I'm beginning to think I don't necessarily like women who wear Rolex. I don't mean just that brand, but ANY watch that is sort of manly like Rolex. It's basically considered a dive watch or even a "tool" watch.
I saw one I liked in a Rolex shop in our Vegas hotel but it was $1000. I have not worn a watch in 10 years. and any watch i did have never cost more than $100
