Do you wear colored undies? I stick to beige/nude, white, black, a few gray. I figure the name says it all under-wear. If something is meant to be worn under your clothes, you want it to blend, not stand out
Where is that rule written? Or is it something you just made up?

Ridiculous colors? Yes, you are missing something here--called fun. I remember when I was a little girl shopping with my mother. They didn't have this fun print in a size I needed. The saleswoman said to me, "What does it matter, no one sees them anyway". My mother spoke up and said, "It is still fun wearing something cute under your clothing".
Go ahead--be daring, be fun, go out and buy a pair of purple underwear! It will make you feel differently, it will put a skip in your step
About 95% of my mine are bright colors and/or prints The rest are for wearing under light colored clothes like boring beige and white, lol. I wear mostly jeans and jean shorts.

Most of mine are black, which is okay because most of my pants are black or jeans. I do have a number of bright colors and patterns, because again, most of my pants are black or jeans. Even the most "ridiculous" (??) of colors won't "stand out".
I have a few pairs of nude for the rare times that I wear lighter pants or a dress. I have zero white.

I've always wore "tighty-whities." But since they took phosphates out of laundry detergents, even with bleach you cannot get pee stains out. I got tired of beating a dead horse. I now buy the dark colored tighties. Solved the problem.
I have never understood why anyone would cover the area of their body most likely to produce yucky stains with the color most likely to show those stains
Purex all fabric bleach freshens up whites as well as colors.
