Hi all. Got a few questions about plucking eyebrows.
First off, im a man. And lately, my eyebrows in the middle near the nose(sorry dont have a better descriptions) are going downwards. My eyebrows have always been strange. They grow UPWARDS at the middle, instead of naturally to the side you know. And now some of the hairs are like 'hanging' down. dunno why.
So, I think I know about tweezing brows that when you pluck the hair, you must pull it to the natural direction of where the hair grows right? So if I pluck the hair that is going down, upwards..will they grow normally again?
And another thing, is there a risk that some of the hair might not grow back again if I pluck them??
I would trim them - if you pluck them they might have a hard time growing back. Ever seen one of those woman with painted on eyebrows? How bizarre and dated they look
I agree with Fairfax Mom. If you pluck hairs too often eventually they won't grow back. Also, if you are trying to get one side exactly like the other as you pluck, you will go insane. I swear it can't be done! Well, anyway I have tried and they never quite look even. But, I am happy with them for now. I do pluck mine and I do pluck them as they naturally grow. It doesn't hurt at all. If you do pluck get good tweezers! Good luck!
P.S. Have you thought about getting them trimmed and waxed at a salon? It may be the way to go.
I would say trim also. I have never heard of eyebrows not growing back after they have been tweezed. If that were true noone would have to tweeze again.
Trimming? Like cutting them a little bit with scissors? I do that actually because my brows grow upwards. Trimming a little makes them look better. I don't ever want to get perfect female eyebrows haha.
But yeah, I don't really wanna tweeze them because first off that's more for women. But for the hair that grows downwards, would they grow upwards again if I pluck them upwards ie. to their natural direction?
i agree with the other posters. Plucking them wont make the hair grow back any differently. They will grow back the same way. Just get a little eyebrow brush, and brush the hair upwards at the midline the way the hair naturally grows, and trim the ends that stick up over the eyebrow shape. Or, take a tiny bit of gel, and gel the hair in place. : )
You should go to the barbershop and have this done---this is their job--they know how to trim eyebrows! As men age, those things go crazy!!!! Hubby gets his done every haircut! And it won't make you look "girlish", but well-groomed.

Yeah, I agree. Mine grow back about every 4th day after I had plucked it. I never had that problem of them not growing back. They always came back!!! UGGGGHHHh!!! I wished they didn't and I wouldn't have to pluck them again.
Go to a place and have them waxed and trimmed. A lot of guys do this; it is easy and you can maintain with plucking if you want.
