Ladies..... How often do you throw out your old bras and buy new ones?

Whenever they stretch beyond their usefulness. The actual amount of time varies.

I'll buy new ones when they're too loose and the cups are misshaped, but I'll still mix wearing the old and new ones until I finally feel like throwing away the old ones, which is maybe 6 more months.

When a bra is new, it should be comfortable on the outside (first) set of hooks. As it stretches, you move to the next set of hooks. When you've reached the inside set of hooks, and you feel like you could use the next set of hooks if there were any, it's time for a new bra.

Mine last for years because I hand-wash and air-dry them. It's been at least 3 years since I've bought any.

Same thing here. My bras last for a long time. Maybe too long; I get tired of them and want some new ones but can't justify it. Sigh.

I love buying new colors of bras, so I was happy to note that the lace cups of some of my oldest (probably 3 years old) bras are tearing. I wonder if they brought back that silver-gray color yet...

This is what I was told by a bra-fitter. The new ones are SO tight and uncomfortable, I still reach for the old 10-year-old one with padded straps. Plus, being priced at $70 or so, for larger sizes, makes the whole awful ordeal even worse. I hate bras so much, I often wear a bathing suit top instead since I get the criss-cross straps that don't fall down, like all my bras do.
