Look in the coupons of your Sunday paper. There is usually an ad for them in there for something like $6 a pair or 2 for $10. The more the better that way you can get a rainbow of colors for all seasons to match your theme sweaters.
Wear WHAT? Jeans? So what? I don't get your point.

I think she was kidding about the double-knit, perma-creased polyester slacks.

That my mother still wears...at least she started buying them in cotton blends.

Oh boy.

By the way, any suggestions on what I should buy? I'm over 40 and a size 4.
Ralph Lauren makes a fabulous midrise jean with a flared leg--ultra flattering!!

Love the SNL skit.

I went shopping with a friend and she was looking at those polyester pants that have the stitched seam down the front. Arrrgghhh!!! She thought they looked comfortable. OMG what next sensible shoes. I am way over 40 but bury me in the ground if I trade my jeans for polyester pants with the stitched front and sensible shoes.

There isn't anybody who doesnt (or wouldn't) look better in dark wash, straight leg or slight boot cut that are long enough to cover most of the foot/shoe. So many women wear jeans that are faded, too short, tapered, high-waisted and too tight. There are a few women who can pull off the skinny jeans but after a certain age and size - not so much. A primary object of choosing jeans is to elongate the legs and the dark & straight ones do that job the best.
