My son is in grad school in fayetteville. You'll fit in just fine. I'm old and conservative, I wouldn't do so well.

I disagree. If you have all liberals are all conservatives the conversations get pretty boring fairly quickly. It is basically ditto that. Diversity of opinions makes it a lot more interesting.

yep. sorta the way some of us feel. I do fine with friends on either end as long as they can discuss issues without getting too emotional We have good friends here in BV that happen to be very liberal, he more than her and my husband is more conservative than me, but I am certainly to the right. Anyway we have honest and interesting debates as long as the husbands tone their narrow minded views down a bit. Will the 4 of us every agree? For the most part we will not, but as long as we don't have too much to drink we do respect each others views. Would I do well in a university with many young, liberals? Probably not, even my granddaughter who is a grad and so is her hubby not many years ago say, overall they always had to be careful expressing their views while still in school. Why, because they happen to be conservatives.
