the state already seems to have more pain clinics and people coming from all states to our state to get access to oxycodone and other pain meds - more addiction - and all we need is to add marijuana sales to the mix......state is becoming a cesspool of addicts.....might have to leave for a more respectable state in the near future

Stop trying to make a distinction where none should exist. The pilot shouldn't have any substances in his or her system before a flight
a small female would easily metabolize two beers, while THC will stay in her system for 4 or more days as has been pointed out

Do you realize that 20 states have legalized medical marijuana. California since 1996, Alaska in 98, Maine in 1999.

Do you see any negative effects that you are claiming in any of the 20 states who did legalize it for medical purposes? Do you hear of people running to those 20 states? Do you realize that there wouldnt be "weed houses" but licensed and regulated shops that would work just like a liquor store?

All we need is more people who will run to Florida and file in with the rest of the misfits we have to deal with already.

Next thing I can see the left demanding it be given to the poor because they cannot afford to buy it.

LOL

Might as well start the new name the WEED HOUSE.

On one corner we will have the crack houses and the same weed head druggies type of people will be running the weed houses on the other corner.

THC metabolizes pretty fast. Its the residual metabolites that are there for awhile. Actually it closer to 10 days, but heavy users can have metabolites a year later.

The effect of smoking a marijuana cigarette lasts no more than and hour and usually more like 30 minutes.

There has been massive crackdowns on doctors who prescribe easily abused drugs. The pharmacies that supplied the drugs have also been zeroed in on .

As I stated in another post = How about the 20 states that have legalized medical marijuana many years ago. They don't have the problems that some of you fantasize about.

Fantasize? My post have been linked to scientific websites studying marijuana -

BTW, even the THC metabolites (over 100 of them) have psychoactive properties - major safety concerns with that.....imagine bus drivers, airline pilots, surgeons hooked on that stuff and practicing their profession.

Bad news.

It isnt the ECONOMIC benefit that it should be legalized for.

It's the fact that it is NOT a harmful product, and people should NOT go to jail for it.

Sure, everyone will benefit from the economics of it being legal, but the facts are solid that it should be legal because it doesnt have negative impacts on society and doesnt hurt people.

Alcohol and tobacco DO hurt people, yet they are perfectly legal. That's where things are a little screwy.

California and Colorado are doing just fine with legal pot.

......just waiting on more old folks to croak till it's legal. That's all it is going to take --for the elderly who are resisting to realize their faults by a.) death or b.) realizing that its not a harmful product. Both will come in good time.

Are you in favor of banning alcohol? If not, then your arguments have no merit. I'll bet the number of functioning alcoholics in the professions you mentioned are substantial.

It really doesn't matter-polls have constantly found that up to 85% of voters will approve an amendment making medical marijuana legal. Those "things" that sit in the legislature can only stall and try to cheat the will of the people for so long.

I can drive a car safely after one beer. Can you safely drive after one joint?

I'd take my chances over yours.
