I've been noticing for about a week that it was cooling down, especially at night. The humidity is dropping as well.

Awesome. Colors are starting to change up here. Spent the day hiking up in Franconia Notch. I count my blessings every day.

Just read a report saying 60 - 75% peak up this way and 40-65% in southern NH. There are usually brighter colors nearer the swampy or wetter areas. Don't see many of those leaf peeper busses up here yet.

I could never, would never, get used to that nasty heat and humidity down there. I guess after 18 summers there, it will NEVER happen, no matter what. I have been here almost 2 weeks, and I feel so much better mentally and physically since getting here. Energy level has increased 10 fold.
Great to to see you back home. Energy level for me too goes way up when I walk outside and it is 50-60 degrees. This is a great time of year to be up there. You relish all the good while many of your friends and family might not look forward to the coming winter so are a bit gloomy wishing they could escape to FL. Just think you'll have the best of all worlds as you've experienced the other side already..

I know some family friends that are actually traveling to Minnesota just for the fall season, they said they actually want to see something different than the same flat land, same people, same trees, same temp all year around. I travel myself every summer. I think Florida has lost that "paradise" feel if you know what Im sayin. Maybe to someone from Flint, MI Florida is the bees knees lol but to most people its just getting more of a hassle to deal with all the idiots that have migrated down here.

I think no matter WHERE one lives, it is always nice and refreshing to visit elsewhere for a change of scenery. I personally love it here where I live in Sarasota, FL, but I enjoy getting away, even to a different part of the state.

To Chris - glad you're back home and happier. Hope this time will be the charm for you.
