You dont need evidence. You need to be in fear of your life or well being,

If Reeves went out side to smoke a cigarette during the movie and was accosted by someone who wanted his wallet and he shot that person dead, would he be wrong?

I think so, you can't shoot a guy because he wants your wallet, if a person approached you and said give me your wallet you can't just pull out and smoke him, I don't think that's self defense. Life>wallet.

I hate to break it to you, but Reeves is clearly violent thug that was looking to kill somebody for fun, just like a typical police officer would. It is apparent to everybody that he was not under attack and responded with deadly force for no reason.

If you murder somebody because they are trying to steal your wallet, you're the type of person that should not have a gun, but as everybody know the majority of people with guns are just waiting for the opportunity to murder somebody.

[quote=HarryWho?;33443787]Yes they do, and most don't use them or only in a dire situation. If they use them improperly, they should be held to account. And if someone curses you or throws popcorn at you, I suggest you keep your cool or we'll be debating your fate.[/QUOTE

I suggest that if you assault someone be prepared for the consequences of your actions.

And IIRC, Reeves is 6'1" and 270 pounds, close to the size of some lineman/linebackers in the NFL.
In case any one is thinking Reeves was a frail and old senior citizen this pic shows him IMO to be quite capable of taking care of himself.

I think you can. Your about to be robbed.

If your thinking was law, the muggers, robbers, hold up people and any Joe who need a few dollars
would be free to do whatever they want with out repercussion.

That is ridiculous.

Totally different because robbery is an enumerated forcible felony. Throwing popcorn is not an enumerated forcible felony.

If he is the person you say he is, why did it take so long for him to do it?

I guess u have a problem with LEO's.

You are a wimp if you would let somebody take your wallet from you. What do you do if he is raping your girlfriend/wife/sister? Do you stand there and say 'thats not nice' and stomp your feet?

Your opinion regarding legal gun carrying people is absurd.

If that's true, and if I thought like you, and I carried a gun, I would have shot at least a dozen people over the years.

I am a "gun carrying moron" s you label me and one million other people and I have no desire to murder anybody. However, if I am attacked I will respond. I will respond with deadly force.

At any rate, most retired LEO's carry a gun.

I don't know you, but chances are if you are ever in actual danger your attacker will easily murder you and steal your gun before you ever have the chance to do anything. Sure, it is rather easy to murder teenagers armed with ice tea and people armed with popcorn, but the game changes rather dramatically if you're facing an actual threat that has their game face on. You say that you "have no desire to murder anybody", and proclaim if proudly without realizing that it is actually a fatal flaw in your personal protection plan.
