I heard and read that several Cobras escaped from the Miami Zoo during Hurricane Andrew, not sue if it's Urban Legend?

Also a Green Mamba bit a Comcast worker a few years ago in Broward, they never found the snake

Green mamba snake bites Comcast worker in Florida

Really though in reality, the worst snakes have two legs and drive down any Florida roadway...

How true that last line is. There is no animal worse than the human being. A snake will take action to protect itself. Humans are predators of everything else.

I understand. FL is a good place for invasive species to develop and live. FL has laws against the harboring of an invasive species.

There are laws that say I cant have a particular plant in my pond. Out of state retailers wont ship it to me. I am sure I can go to another state and buy all of I wanted and put it in my pond or dump it in lakes and rivers.

Same thing happens with invasive animals. They get brought here and many times released when they become too big for their owners control.

Kinda like the old urban legend about alligators in the NYC sewers. In the 50s and 60s you could order baby alligators and keep them. Obviously they grew. They got flushed down toilets and allegedly now occupy the sewers of NYC.

FL can enact all the laws it wants but that is not going to stop people from wanting and having exotic creatures in their possession.

I wonder what the point of the original post was. Maybe it should have gone in the Weird FL News Thread.

Spend some time in South Florida, particularly try driving around here for a few days and you might be tempted to say "what a bunch of animals!" then you stop yourself and realize your not at the Zoo...

My parents used to live in Miami Beach.

DON'T bring up anything bad about Illinois or Chicago specifically. We are only here to bash Florida, even if it means lying.

BTW - I agree with NLF. You missed his point. His point is that Florida sucks. That is the reason for all the obscure threads he is starting. Note that he cannot even post in any threads in the Chicago forum, as 99% of them are about the horrid crime there. Odds of getting murdered in Chicago is far greater than getting eaten by a python in Florida.

I avoid going there at all costs. The last time I was there, Dec 13, we were there to catch a cruise.

Yes, I have known NLF's agenda from his first post. He really believes that his nonsense is going to change the tide of people coming to live here. I would say the odds of getting murdered in Chicago is better than
getting bit by a spider here.

I worked for a lady who grew up in Cabrini-Green. One of the better public housing projects there.
