Good for him! 1 out of thousands. Who paid for his school?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the 2010 median annual pay for a radiology technician was $54,340. The median salary per hour was $26.13. The salary radiology techs make depends on a number of factors, including experience, work environment, hours, and tasks.

And if what you say is true, why does anyone go to college at all ? They should all move to the streets of NYC to learn about life and how to navigate through it.
A lot of book smart people work in Wal Mart too.

He worked through and paid about half off himself. The other half he is still paying off.

Thank you for quoting 4 year old average stats that have pretty much zero bearing on his situation, though. It's always nice to meet someone who hides behind generalized statistics.

I found some info a little more up to date..

Radiologic technologists earned a median salary of $54,340 in 2012, a slight dip from 2011, according to the BLS. The highest-paid earned $77,160, while the lowest-paid earned $37,060. The three highest-paying metropolitan areas for radiologic technologists are all in California: Napa, Oakland and Vallejo.

I think you're right Leftee, be did state radiologist. My oversight.

however......

"Radiology is in the midst of an upheaval. While there is a general shortage of radiologists, much of the work is being outsourced to telemedical companies, both nationally and internationally. This has led to a depression in wages since 2006, and a reduced demand for Radiologists in general. While the wages still top the list of specialties, it is waning, with the mean income having dropped by 10% between 2010 and 2011. There are also questions surrounding the use of radiation, and the concerns of over-use of tests."

No, you spew your anti-NYC venom in the Florida forum which has tons of folks from NY.

Want to quote some of those posts? The only time I even bring up NYC is when I state why I
decided to leave it. Thats about all. You dont see me making daily posts slamming NYC as some of you do against a state you had no desire to be in but continue to haunt its forums.
