Is Anywhere Safe In Florida ? yes and alot of people work each day to try and keep it that way. but look at what you are posting on this site.
Do Not post information that would attract crime to an area.

Angry Questions Answered

Questions: How many times has someone broke in your home?

How many people kill in your block?

How many rapes with 5 miles?

How many times was your car stolen?

Now I live in Northwest Florida, town of Navarre for 8 years and have not had a problem. I lived in Satellite Beach for 4 years and did leave the door open and nothing ever happen (off base housing). Moved to Homestead and this was a bit strange town, but Hurricane Andrew got me a one way ticket to San Antonio Tx.

Florida is a safe state, all depend on your location within a town/city. Nothing different from NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, San Antonio, Vegas or LA. Crime is found in the whole country, but my fellow members need to answer my questions. Can something happen to YOU? YES, what are your chances, depend on your location, due your research and evaluate your options. Waiting on your replies....
Nobody has been killed in my neighborhood, but it has happend within 10 miles of my neighborhood. No my house has not been broken into but 4 of my neighbors have, yes, my car has been broken into and so have my neighbors.

So YES I have experienced crime in Florida, do I think Florida is not a safe place to live? It depends on where you can afford to live, since wages don't equal out to the cost of living anymore alot of people live in not so safe neighborhoods. Not everybody can afford to live on the beach in a gated community.

Within 5 mils of my zipcode: Total Sexual Offender(s)/Predator(s) Found: 180 within 5.0 miles ......what's yours?

Florida has murders on the rise and is crawling with Sexual Offenders! I live in a pretty affluent subdivision and just last week a woman was murdered less than one mile from my home. My car hasn't gotten stolen because it is in a "locked" garage and has a security system but my husbands work truck was broken into a few years ago.
WE have some, just like any other place in Florida and for that matter in the US. If you leave on the wrong side of town do something about it. Become a leader and be the one that forms a residential crime watch program. Get involve with the Police Department, go talk to kids in school. Take action, so many times we all complain about everything, but we don't do anything about it. Stand up an be a leader. I do stand in my county and voice my views and aid in making the best in my community. The outcome of my town/county is my reponsability and I recognize how important it is for my family.

Lets be a positive tool and do something about it. Posting here is nothing, action will speak louder that this forum. Be part of the solution!!!!
