Moving to FL in summer of 2007 and need a job in the Tampa area. I am currently in Real Estate and will have my FL RE license by then. I also have experience in Finance, Human Resources and Purchasing. Would consider almost any job with benefits as I have 2 kids. Anybody have any ideas of how I can start my search now to hopefully secure employment by June 2007?

Real estate is already in recession in Florida and chances are it will stay bearish for at least the next two years, possibly more, unless you are on the foreclosure side of it.

Better brush up on finance, human resources and purchasing.

Thanks! I am not expecting to do Real Estate to start with anyway, I am just getting my license to have it for the future. It is almost impossible to start somewhere new and make any money, you really need referrals to make any $ in RE. I appreciate your reply and will most likely target my search towards administrative type postions.

Check Monster.com and Careerbuilder in the FL cities you are considering...that will give you an idea of jobs/salary.

Or let me put it this way, I'm making what I made 20 years ago in NYC....now, here in Florida....cost of living is expensive here....
