We will be moving to Vero Beach. Which airport would you recommend; Orlando or Ft Lauderdale. Mapquest shows that Orlando is a bit closer but will it be more of a hassle to drive to and leave our cars. Thank you for your responses.

Never had a problem with Orlando airport, but have never used Ft. Lauderdale either. What is the problem with Orlando parking, just curious.

Why only those two choices?

I have been in quite a few airports and I have always loved Orlando Airport.

I believe Palm Beach int'l airport is closer - had you considered that option?

i like orlando airport a lot. ft. lauderdale will be further, with more traffic. did you check out melbourne airport? if you could get a cheap flight on delta, melbourne airport would be the most convenient. (though orlando is usually cheaper).

If you can't go through Palm Beach International (Airport Code: PBI), then go Orlando. Traffic will be a LOT less coming from Orlando to Vero than Fort Lauderdale to Vero.... though there's a lot more to "look" at coming from the South -- up, and watching how drastic the changes are between South Florida and the Treasure Coast....

That's actually not true. The Bee Line has a surprising amount of traffic between Orlando and 95. I-95 has a higher volume of traffic but the difference is that it moves. Also, flying out of MCO is flat out inconvenient. FLL is at least fairly small and manageable. Still second the PBI idea (better airport than O-town or FLL, less distance), or even better, Melbourne International.
