I'm currently still saving. I want at least save $5,000 by the time next summer at least. I love charter school education. And I was nervous whether to either get a place first or job. Seems like ill be looking for a place since its more convenient. Thanks for the advice.

Relocating can be tough and expensive,$2000 will not last you a month as once in Florida you will most likely have to stay in a motel until you find some place to rent, then they will probably ask for 1st and last months rent and a security deposit,,in the mean time you gotta be looking for a job and finding a school for the kid, you will also need a reliable car as Floridas public transit is virtually non existent.
