Yeah good thing about Wilma was the cool front after to make it more bearable during power outage. Would have been more uncomfortable if it were hot.

I am sure we are in the straight away, I have a strong feeling and I hope October brings nothing but the cooler temperatures !!!
Hugo and ESPECIALLY Andrew changed it 'all' in so many ways. Construction standards, response team, staging materials, FEMA, providing food and logging to the army of electric utility workers, etc. Not to mention Turkey Pt Nuke was involved. The NRC had very tight schedules for restoration.

I traveled to SC for Hugo and of course being from Florida... Andrew was devastating.

We worked out of Perrine and worked 7 days a week for 16-18 hour shifts for 6 weeks.

Odd i was north of Tampa and show lows in the mid and upper 60's and highs in the lower 70's on my records from the 24th thru the 27th. I had a 53f on the 13th. But i am right on the gulf and always warmer than most of you peeps in the creek.

Went back into my Yahoo Calendar for late October 2005 and I have these entries...Oct 24 (Wilma's Arrival in S Fla) we lost power at 4:30AM , power we got back on the 26th at 7:30 PM , of course and again, the storm came by and left us with great weather so not many minded the power shortgage then.
