Well we were finally notified of our address in Oklahoma City. We found an apartment near downtown, within walking distance of shopping ect. I am looking for a job even now, before the big move. We have an October 1st move in date scheduled. I cannot wait!

Some of the things I am really looking forward to are:

1. Not having to fill up my gas tank as much. Here, we are in a small town in Marion County and we have to drive a lot.

2. Better homeschooling laws. I will not even have to notify the school district that my girls even exist.

3. Not having to evacuate in the event of a tropical storm or hurricane since here we can only afford to rent a mobile home.

It is not that I have anything against Florida or those that enjoy living here. It is that we realize that it is no longer economically feasable for us to remain here.

I wish you lots of luck. Moving is so much work as I did it with 4 children, 2 dogs, pulling a trailor behind me from Philadelphia to Florida. When you are happy where you live, it is all worth it. You will be right in place to enjoy the beautiful fall.

Congrats on the move to OKC !

You may not have to worry about Hurricanes or Tropical Storms anymore but lookout for those twisters !

Good luck Floridamom1970. 25 days 7 hours and 11 minutes for me to go until I go back to MA. We got a nice duplex in the Berkshires of western MA, the ultimate fall leaf peeping place besides VT, and NH. Watch out for those nados...

Thank you! It will be very new, the only time I went to where we are moving was for a sunday drive, and when my ex girlfrinds family lived out there, and I loved it out there. New place, new beginnings... I will miss some Florida stuff to, don't get me wrong. I have changed my very negative attitude towards FL., except when I drive my car to work every day and my AC is not working!!! LOL!!! That's not Floridas fault, it's mother natures!
