..... And I'd say just the opposite. People come down here for all the positives and in a good frame of mind and that frame of mind is getting dashed all over the pavement for many that move here. Not all, but many......

Oddly enough, I'm going to use an argument that I always here from the positive folk like, "Oh, like crime doesn't happen everywhere....", well IMO a person based on thier personality can find "strong sense of community, deep friendships, favorite grocery stores" anywhere in the country as well, so how is this unique to Florida???....

As for comments about the same people reiterating the same arguments of why they don't like Florida, I'll repeat my previous post in regards to this. If people would stop asking the same stupid question about "Why all the negativity???" perhaps no one would see the need to re-hash thier reasons for thier negative feelings.....

I'd also like to point out that it's the same people re-iterating the same things they like about Florida, etc... If we ALL agree not to be repetitive then maybe we can ALL move on and just offer advice without additional commentary. I'm game, but then the Florida forum would be pretty dry and uninformative, wouldn't it???.

I am sure I missed a few. But remember one person might hate these things the next may disagree and love these things.

Lack of affordable housing in desirable areas
Cost of living
Conjestion
Property Taxes
HOI
Crime (but that is everywhere)
Hurricanes
Heat & Humidity
Wages
Over Crowded Schools
Insects
also just to go out to the store in the off traffic times?

you still sit in the traffic. 8 years ago it seemed to be a real nice place, now?

Why is it that every freakin time i type a message whether serious, informative or jokingly you always have to come right behind with some kind of comment on EVERY single thread i post in. Maybe the guy was serious when he said he saw people eating cheeseburgers on the trail. People can bring a lunch with them can't they? I swear you must just look for my posts to irritate the heck out of me.

"Oh please!!!! I just spent two weeks in the northeast in February and I'm just getting my dry itchy skin quieted down. Husband had bronchitis. Grandkids had colds and ear infections. I'll take a little whif of bug spray any day."

Then again, that could explain why all the old retirees from up north are so cranky all the time. They think there is a majic pill for bugs. Prolem is you're taking the pill along with them.

I agree. Northerners are more hardy and in better shape to me. The heat beats donw the southerners and makes them sit and wilt when it gets oppresive.. I was always more active in the cooler weather and still am more active when I go up north. You want to move around and get the blood going. Today in SFL it was 85. Too hot for the end of Feb.. Huh.. I should talk up Florida then sell my house. I'd just rather tell the truth..
