Once in a blue moon I get in the mood for a Big Mac. Then I get to the drive thru, they tell me it'll cost me $4.00, and I tell them thanks anyway, but I changed my mind. And I drive home and make a swiss cheese and mushroom omelet instead.
I did that last week. Had a hankerin' for Big Mac (it had probably been 6 months since I'd had one)....got home, ate it, and all was good. Until about 15 minutes later...that thing was like lead in my stomach the rest of the afternoon. It'll be awhile before I do THAT again.
Hah, if I'm going to be eating McDonald's, DAMN straight it's gonna be to get a Sausage McMuffin with Egg. I can (and have) quite easily make my own fried egg at home, cook my own sausage patty, put it on my own toasted English muffin with a slice of good cheese from my fridge, and it DOESN'T TASTE AS GOOD. How is this possible?
Other than that once-in-a-while indulgence, I can very easily do without McD's. But that particular breakfast sandwich? Amazing.
How much butter do YOU soak it all in? I worked there, many, many moons ago. Everything is pretty much SOAKED in butter. The sausages and eggs are fried in it, melted butter is SLATHERED on the Eng Muffins while they're hot... EVERYTHING tastes better when it's slathered in butter! At home, we tend to be more conservative with things like that.
I was craving McD's something fierce tonight! I'm so jealous! I haven't had a Big Mac in months!
