Pumpkin and butternut by far. I like to slice the butternut squash very thin, and bake it until it's like chips.
I also like acorn, spaghetti, delicata and hubbard. You can do pretty much anything with spaghetti squash; it makes great lasagne and mac and cheese!
Couldn't rep you again, OG, but . Thanks for the butternut "chips" idea, I'll try it with my surplus this summer! Last summer, I planted it at the bottom of the garden with a trellis so it would have room to stretch out - the vines still trailed out for yards and yards, and I got about 20 ripe ones at a time (I sold a lot of it).
I make a skillet dish of breaded pork chops, cubed butternut squash, and sliced apples, simmered in a mixture of water, balsamic vinegar and a little stevia to make a sauce.
Any winter squash is good by me. Not real fond of Zucchini (most people boil it mush), but I like it raw in salads. Grilled petit squash is great on the barbeque.
I make a delicious spaghetti squash bake. I roast the squash in oven first, then I scrape it out into a bowl, I add 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese, 1 cup marinara and mix together. I put that into a baking dish and I add a little more sauce on top, srpinkle of grated cheese and some shredded mozzarella on top. Bake on 375 unitl cheese is melted and bubbly.
speaking of butternut and acorn squash for a moment, Sometimes I have bought either one and neither of them are sweet. Other times I have had them and they are sweet like candy. Why is that???

Maybe they are underripe, like a lot of fruit you get at the grocery store? It's the right color but the insides haven't ripened all the way.
No many how many new varieties of squash I discover, butternut and spaghetti squash are still my favorites. Yumm...
