OH, I would be lost without my Wegmans.... it has EVERYTHING... I love Wegmans...If I had to move somewhere that didn't have Wegmans I would be so very sad...
I will try this ASAP. Even if I have to buy the case. I would think that it could be frozen for later use. I'll search online too. I will find it.
As long as its kept in a cool, dry place, and in a Ziplock, it will be fine.
I buy mine in bulk from our asian market, and parcel it up in ziplocks.
When i run out, and need it fast, i get it from publix, and it is Sushi Chef brand, looked at the box.
Our local Publix is an older and smaller store. The larger store up the road may have it. If not I'll check the w~m super center as much as I hate shopping there. That is the only options I have at the moment without a major road trip. Next time I'm farther away from home I'll check the Sweet Bay store if I don't find some panko closer. We do have some Italian bread crumbs so we may try and bake the chicken 2 different ways to compare the diff.
You could ask at your friendly local Asian restaurant - I asked the manager at our local Thai place where I could get Kaffir lime leaves, he said he could order extra for me next time - and I can buy them from him.
Chilly, grey and drizzling here today... good day to stay indoors with a good book and possibly some nap time. And a good day to use the oven for supper.
I told the spouse about that recipe that someone posted a while back that involved soaking chicken in buttermilk and Tabasco sauce, then rolling it in panko and baking, and he's decided that we'll try that tonight (hey, hinting works!!) I think the accompaniment will be sweet potato "fries" - sweet potato cut up in strips, spread out on a foil-lined pan, sprayed with pan spray and sprinkled with Penzey's Northwoods seasoning mix, then baked until tender. Probably one of the cauliflowers from yesterday's CSA box for veg.
Not cooking today... I have to work tonight blah! Wish me luck we are suppose to be very busy blah again. I will not be watching football with hub blah! Owell a little extra money never hurt anyone
Ok today I am tired and cold...adding to the slow side of things.... what are stellas? some amazing dessert I don't know about????
