Ok everyone, Hi! Dinner tonight is pretty interesting. My neighbor had a wonderful pig picking roast and sent us home with plenty of leftovers, so I took it made some homemade honey/brownsugar BBQ sauce that i'm serving on little baquete roll, with our favorite homemade thick cut garlic french fries with some absolutely wonderfully summer super sweet white corn. One of our local farmers grows the absolute to die for sweet corn, and every year we buy several bushels which I put up enough to get us through the next season. Well, the hubby just pulled in so time to go cook. Everyone enjoy your dinner tonight!!!

Monica

I LOVE asparagus-try it roasted with lemon pepper, olive oil-it's beyond delicious.

Hello all. I am actually cooking something interesting tonight and figured it was good enough to share with you.
I am grilling Sierra mackeral rubbed with rosemary, garlic and smothered with butter. (The secret to mackeral is to soak it for hours to get that extra strong "mackeral" flavor out. What remains is much more yummy!) Served with steamed cabbage with salt, pepper and butter, and boiled potaotoes with a light brown gravy, complete with lumps.

Somebody shoulda shot the dang groundhog, he wouldn't have seen his shadow and Spring would be here soon!

Busy coupla days, cheeseburger & fries tonight, wasn't up to anything more complicated.

Tonight, I stopped by Dickey's Barbecue, and I had some beef brisket, spicy sausage, potato salad, beans, and a roll.

Also, I am contemplating making homemade chili in the crockpot soon. There's a chance I could do it this weekend. If I decide to do it, I'll fill you in.
