So much for the snow. It was more like a mound of crushed ice piled 4 ft. high in the middle of the parking lot Worse, there was very long line in the 100+ degree heat just to get near it.
We picked up a couple of NY strip steaks. DH is BBQ-ing them as I type. I sauteed some onions to go along with them. We'll also have garlic bread and fresh string beans.
That kind of post is just right....what kind of pizza did you order?
You must order just cheese. Too many concoctions spoil the simplicity of the crispy crust and perfectly melted oozing cheese. Of course a large pitcher of icy cold diet coke.
I just took my "PINK CHICKEN" out of the freezer to defrost overnight... in a Teryaki merinade... I will let you know how Operation Chicken a la Salmon goes... I told my mother (I learned from the best btw) about it and she told my girls how they get to be PINK chickens... they feed them Special Pink Corn... and only the best chickens get this corn... only the PRICESS CHICKENS LOL... we will see if they buy it... I will let you know tomorrow...

Kelsie: Congratulations!
Hey, I have an idea.....maybe you and lacey can trade places for a few months this coming winter!! You can enjoy lacey's snow and she can enjoy your sun!!
I picked up some mesquite charcoal yesterday so we can cook our steaks on the grill. Hubby wants fried potatoes with onion, but I would rather fix a baked potato!
His Mom gave me a jar of canned green beans with the little shells, that I`ll fix, along with some butter rolls.
She gave me a jar of beans last week, and she called them mountain beans...that were really good. She defintely likes her beans!
I can`t get my hubby to eat a bean today, because he said he ate them everyday growing up.
Oh my---more computer connection problems this AM! Green acres! It rained pretty hard earlier so maybe that's the problem. I'm thinking it's the company! We've had nothing but problems since Windstream took over here. I'm up now obviously but am not holding my breath! If the weather clears up we'll be having grilled steaks, baked potatoes and fresh corn on the cob for dinner tonight. If the weather doesn't clear up I don't have a clue. Will wait until later if there is a change in plans. I want to go with you lacey! That sounds like fun.
