I loved the clam strips as a kid. One of the few cooked foods I would eat, and my mother would by the frozen ones for me at the grocery store just to get me to eat cooked food.

Peppermint Ice Cream from Howard Johnson's is still the food of my dreams. Never had anything that compared.

WHAT was it about those clam strips???? They were so good....We had one like a mile from our house in Clinton Twp Michigan(Mt Clemens) that we would go to all the time.. 2nd favorite was the kiddie Tom turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and peas..They turned it into a Sign of the Beef Carver when they closed and we never went there....

I stayed at a Hojos recently in Albany,bit of a dump,i can see why they are going out of business.

Never ate their eggs and never worked during breakfast hours, but you' re right, I think they DID have regular eggs.

I was the same way when I was growing up. I loved restaurant pancakes and favorite part was the scoop of whipped butter that came with it. The fact that I could have it a dinner made it special too.
