Whatever it was that my father made for me when I woke up late in the evening. Mom used to wake up and tell dad that he shouldn't keep me up. No. He was feeding me so that I could sleep well.

There is a little Italian place in our town that makes a lasagna that is out of this world.

It's super rich, very heavy on the gooey cheeses, and the tomato sauce is succulent. It comes in a bowl and you actually have to cut through a heavy layer of melted cheese just to get to the pasta and meat below.

Not something I can eat often - too artery clogging! But I sure could use a serving of that about now, along with a glass of cold Chardonney, and a couple of candles casting firelight around the room.
