Brisket sandwich with melted aged beer cheddar and topped with horseradish; fries; unsweetened iced tea to drink; and a sugar cone of butter pecan ice cream.
Cold cucumber soup..I made it up myself and have no exact amount...it is almost like a raita
Cheers for the recipe, Alm! We were on the same wave length today. I had a large English cuke with homemade lemony dressing. Not sure why I didn't add some of your yogurt & spices to it.
Two samosas, and then two laddus for dessert. Mmmm. I rarely eat dessert, but the laddus were great.
I read your post too fast, Woodstock. I thought you meant mamosas & assumed laddus were 2 more fruity drinks, so was going to suggest a group 'net hug for your difficult day.
I adore Indian food... I just obviously have no idea what anything is called.
Big lunch for me today. 2 organic salmon cakes with broccoli (yuck!) & a homemade tartar sauce... bits of mayo, Alm's homemade yogurt, organic dill, black pepper, garlic, onion, cumin, basil, paprika, mesquite seasoning, lots of fresh squeezed lemon & 2 organic tomatoes.
It tasted better than it looks (except the broccoli... which gives me the heebie jeebies). Oh, & an Avery IPA. That's not in the pic as I'm not bloody well lettin' it out of my hand!
A new Applebee's restaurant opened near my home and I went there with my mom and sister. I had a 7 oz. sirloin steak with sides of steamed vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. We also shared a berry and spinach salad. My mom had the bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Fantastic dining experience!
Lunch, just served
Pan fried pork chops, portobello mushroom sauteed with onions, organic French fries. Red and yellow pickled beet salad with herbed goat cheese (didn't fit in pix)
