Slept through b'kfast again & for lunch, had the most lovely, giant (the size of a small grapefruit), sweet, juicy, delicious nectarine I've ever had. It's enough to fill me 'til dinner. When I walked into the market yesterday, the smell wafted over me, although the table was 10-ft away... I thought it was the smell of roses, at first.

Fruits are gifts from the gods/goddesses.
I agree that delectably ripe vegetables and fruits are a gift.
I took a risk (every time I buy fruit it seems there is a risk of wanting to toss or savour it) and bought just 2 peaches. Yesterday, I was very pleasantly surprised when it was juicy and sweet. I may just well pick up a couple more when I shop tomorrow.
