I love the jumbo eggs I get at Winco. This morning I'm cracking open 4 eggs out of a new dozen and had 2 with double yolks. Awesome.

I never had double yolks when I bought large eggs. In fact, I never even saw double yolks until I started using the jumbos.

Does anyone here get double yolks or do you have chickens that lay double yolks?

I have chickens and the double yolk is a reproductive tract hiccup. They will also lay eggs with no shell. Or, a tiny egg with just the white.

My experience as well. Double yolks are almost common in jumbo eggs and non-existent in smaller eggs. In a carton of a dozen jumbo eggs I recently purchased as Trader Joe’s, five, yes five eggs, had double yolks

I usually get large or extra large. Not sure exactly what made me reach for the jumbo size. I've since made an omelette and French toast using those eggs and each event had at least a double yolk.

My Winco has stopped carrying the jumbo eggs. Phooey!

I like getting a double yolk too.

My grocery store started carrying a new band of eggs and for several months all the cartons I bought had anywhere from 4 to 6 double yolkers, it got so I was depending on that, but it hasn't happened for a year or more.

I'd be over the moon cuz I only eat the yolks... generally have 3 each morning. Only once I bought eggs at Whole Foods & 9 were double yolks & 3 were triples! Amazing... the entire carton. Never had doubles or triples again (not even 1) & that was 30-yrs ago. Good to know it happens with jumbos, cuz I'll only buy them from now on. I've noticed that many markets here don't have jumbos... only small or large, at least when I shop.

Interesting that so many of you have chickens. I've never had a fresh egg... gosh, I'd love that.
